Conveyancing Assistant


We have an exciting opportunity for a Conveyancing Assistant to join our busy Residential Conveyancing team.  As a successful applicant you will be working as part of our team at a full service leading Law Firm with over 150 years of experience in providing quality legal advice.

Job Description

  • Assisting the Conveyancers with fee earning work accurately, reliably and in accordance with the firm’s risk and quality management policy from inception to completion
  • Forms and applications
  • Providing quotations as and when required
  • Ordering searches
  • Helping to set up files for completion
  • Checking client care paperwork and assisting with their initial enquiries
  • Drafting contracts
  • Exchanging contracts
  • Replying to enquiries
  • Engaging with clients and estate agents on a daily basis, developing new and existing relationships
  • Undertaking regular training to ensure you are keeping up to date with regular changes in the law

Applicant Specification

  • Conveyancing experience essential
  • Experience with use of a case management system
  • Customer focused with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise workloads



  • Competitive salary
  • 22 days holiday plus bank holidays pro rata
  • The working pattern for this role is 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday
